Only two hours from Paris, Le Havre marina has another significant advantage. It is one of France’s rare deep water marinas. It is accessible 24/7, regardless of the weather and the tide. In fact it is the only port in the bay of the Seine to have total accessibility.
The marina has a capacity of 1,160 moorings, a fuel pontoon, several hoisting facilities including a freely accessible T-hoist and two slipways.
There are also many services available to yachtsmen, including showers and toilets, water and electricity outlets, free Wifi, and delivery of provisions on board.
The marina is currently being expanded to increase its capacity. At the entrance to the city, in an area that evolves incessantly, the Vauban dock has been undergoing renovations since 2012, increasing Le Havre’s capacity by 200 moorings for boats measuring 6 to 15 metres. Designed with the user’s comfort in mind, it is perfectly equipped and secure, and at a very affordable rate. A second phase of renovations is planned to increase the capacity to 500 moorings. As a result, in 2017 - the city’s 500th birthday - Le Havre should have 2017 moorings.
Le Havre and coffee share a legend - the legend of trade which tempted the best sailors of their era to defy the Atlantic to bring back to Europe the beans from which this precious beverage is extracted. Classified historically amongst the major coffee ports, Le Havre relives the adventure.
Every two years this event welcomes a prestigious population of the best skippers of open sea racing. The marine trade show is the venue chosen to announce each next edition.
